Every service in GuestGenie has its own cancellation policy that determines how much of your payment is refunded depending on when you cancel. These rules are set by each service provider and may vary.
Where to Find the Cancellation Policy
Before booking: scroll down on the service detail page to find the Cancellation Policy section.
After booking: open the service request details and scroll down to see the cancellation rules that apply to your booking.
How Refunds Are Calculated
The cancellation policy defines one or more time-based refund rules. The refund you receive depends on how far in advance you cancel:

Within a partial window | Partial % refund | 🟡 Partial refund |
Too close to service date | No refund | 🔴 No refund |
📋 Always review the cancellation policy before cancelling. Once a service request is cancelled, refunds are calculated based on the policy at the time of cancellation and cannot be changed.
Questions About Your Refund
If you cancelled a service request and have questions about the refund amount, tap the Help icon in any service request screen or contact support.
Processing time: refunds typically take 5–10 business days to appear, depending on your payment method and financial institution.
Refund method: the amount is returned to the original payment method used at the time of booking (credit card, debit card, etc.).
You will receive a confirmation once the refund has been initiated.
