GuestGenie + Cloudbeds Integration - Setup & Usage Guide

GuestGenie integrates with Cloudbeds to help property managers offer guests a seamless way to access GuestGenie and purchase add-on services during their stay. This article explains how to sign up, connect GuestGenie to Cloudbeds, what the integration does, and how to disconnect or get support.


How to sign up for GuestGenie

To get access to GuestGenie, you can use either of these options:

1. Contact our team: email us at [email protected] requesting access.

2. Become a partner: complete the partner form at https://guestgenie.com/become-a-partner


How to connect GuestGenie with Cloudbeds for the first time

Once your GuestGenie account is created:

1. Go to https://property.guestgenie.com/ and sign in.

2. In the Workspace selector, make sure your company/workspace is selected.

3. From the left-side menu, open Integrations.

4. Under PMS Integration, click View integrations.

5. Find Cloudbeds, then click Activate (or “Connect”, depending on your UI label).

6. You will be redirected to Cloudbeds login:

• Review the requested permissions

• Click Accept/Authorize

7. After authorization, you’ll be redirected back to GuestGenie, and the integration will be enabled.


Specific functionality of the integration

GuestGenie’s Cloudbeds integration supports two key use cases:

1) Automatic sync of rooms/units and their attributes

GuestGenie automatically synchronizes the rooms/units created in Cloudbeds, including their main characteristics, so they can be managed and used inside GuestGenie.

2) Reservation sync when a guest opens the GuestGenie link

When a guest taps the GuestGenie link that is shared with them, GuestGenie synchronizes the corresponding reservation so the guest can access the correct stay context.

Once a guest’s reservation is synchronized in GuestGenie, the guest can use GuestGenie to browse and purchase additional services related to their stay.


How to disconnect the apps

Disconnect from GuestGenie

To disconnect from the GuestGenie side:

1. Go to Integrations in GuestGenie

2. Find the Cloudbeds integration

3. Click Disconnect

Q: Do I need Cloudbeds admin access to connect the integration?

A: You’ll need a Cloudbeds user who can authorize the required permissions during the connection flow.

Q: What happens to synced data if I disconnect?

A: Once disconnected, GuestGenie will stop syncing data from Cloudbeds until you reconnect.
